NEW DELHI: Continuing its push for LTE-capable smartphones, Micromax has launched the Canvas Xpress 4G smartphone in the country. The new handset supports Cat 4 LTE speeds (150Mbps/50Mbps) and has been priced at Rs 6,599. It will be exclusively available on Flipkart.
At this price tag, Micromax Canvas Xpress 4G will compete against the likes of Lenovo A6000 Plus, Xiaomi Redmi 2, YU Yuphoria, Samsung Galaxy J2 and Moto E 4G.

An update to Canvas Xpress 2, the latest Micromax smartphone has a 5-inch HD IPS display panel and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system. The Canvas Xpress 4G packs a 1GHz quad-core Mediatek MT6735 processor with 2GB RAM under the hood and comes with 16GB internal storage. It also supports microSD cards for storage expansion.
The rear camera of Micromax Canvas Xpress 4G has 8MP resolution, while the selfie snapper has a 2MP sensor. Along with Cat 4 LTE, the connectivity suite of the smartphone consists of 2G, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and microUSB 2.0. This device is powered by a 2,000mAh battery.
